This January, the Liminal Discovery team gathered in the charming coastal town of Tavira, Portugal, to kick off an exciting new year. Over three packed days, we reflected on our achievements in 2024, tackled strategic challenges, and aligned on ambitious plans for the year ahead.
Our programme was as inspiring as it was productive. From retrospectives that deepened our insights to vision-setting sessions that refined our purpose, we collectively shaped the next steps for Liminal Discovery.
Highlights of the kick-off:
A liminal story: Exploring our history, values, and mission, we reminded ourselves of why we exist as a team and how our diverse perspectives make us stronger.
Retrospectives and data discussions: Using feedback from our projects and clients, we assessed what went well and where we could grow, with a focus on teamwork and excellence.
Strategic alignment: Saturday was all about crafting and refining our organisational and individual OKRs. The energy in the room was palpable as ideas flowed and the team rallied around our shared goals.
A new practice: We are currently working in today and tomorrow, but now we can time travel! With the Strategic Design and Innovation practice, we explore possible futures and identify solutions that address the future, today.
Workshops and creativity: Frank’s ‘What if…?’ workshop pushed us to think beyond the conventional and embrace bold, innovative ideas.
Social moments: Whether sharing meals, taking in the breathtaking views, or simply enjoying each other’s company, the connections we strengthened over the weekend remind us that collaboration is the key to our success.
Looking forward
This kick-off reaffirmed that we are more than a team—we are a collective of professionals, innovators, and dreamers with vast knowledge and dedication.
Together, we are ready to take Liminal Discovery to the next level, building on our strengths and seizing new opportunities.
